Hi Guys, daft question time is an ERG valve fitted to a petrol engine RR or only fitted to a diesel version, if so fitted to petrol where the hell is it. Thanks.
Oh and very sorry to hear about Wammers.

Oh well it must be something else that's making me loose power, I've changed everything else that was my last idea as to why. Thanks.

What are the symptoms or circumstances that it happens? (apologies if you’ve described it before).

If you got MAF just try unplugging it and see how it runs
I did that recently with my Jeep (queue Spit The Dog) and it certainly shows if the MAF is duff, but usually I find a bad MAF just leads to major hesitation rather than loss of power, as OP describes.

I have a lack of power on acceleration sometimes it goes like a bat out of hell, then other times it's either in sports mode or manual down change just to pull out or this to pass someone, even on motorways. I've changed all things like plugs, leads, air filter, cleaned out the throttle sensor and the oxygen sensors and the exhaust has been replaced,I've even chucked a load of cleaners through to see if the cats were clogged. But it's still the same and there's plenty of compression,so stumped comes to mind.

Sounds like it’s fuel or air related, have vacuum leaks been looked for or fuel pressure checked? Rather than throw parts at it, it’s often best to pay for an hours labour on diagnosis at a reputable shop, and they should be able to tell you what’s going on.

It's had a new fuel filter and a new fuel pump as that stopped working last year so I know it's not them, I have a Hawkeye total but it shows nothing wrong unless I'm not reading it right. I wouldn't mind but it's only got 134000 on the clock.

Check the pipe coming from the intercooler into the inlet manifold. Eery now and then mine will lose power and will do this for a few hours and then not again for mo ths on end. The only ting I have found is the manifold pipe from the intercooler is somewhat flattened and really does need replacing. If you imagine the pipe can flatten and rob te engine of air and then the turbo won't spool and the pump won't fuel properly either.

Check your turbo to intercooler elbow mine delaminated and would inflate a bubble inside which restricted air flow which made the intercooler to inlet one collapse due to the engine sucking, mainly did it on a long run when under bonnet temps were high.

That's a flipping good point... ernie-sesame-street.jpg

Mines a V8 petrol engine so no turbo fitted it would be nice, but at 12.7 to the gallon as it is god know what you get with a turbo fitted LOL.
