If you're lucky it shouldn't take too long to change the oil seal but be ready for a battle getting the old one out.

I did mine earlier this year, thought it would be a quick job, but did the old seal wanna come out - did it eckers like.

Apart from that dead easy really. Watch out for skinned knuckles undoing the back of the prop.
 
Rear diff seal has been weeping slightly on my classic since i've had and i wanted to fit the replacement that came with the car but i was told it was a big job as the pre-load on the diff was effected when the nut was removed??.I'd be interested to know if thats true as it sounded a bit beyond my basic mechanical skills as i didn't want to ruin the diff but if its not the case i'll be having a go at the seal.
 
Good chance you still have a small amount of oil left. Take the drain plug out to check and have a look at what comes out, if it's clean and there are no metal bits you should be o.k. Gear oil sticks like s**t to a blanket. I would second the opinions that it's the flange oil seal.
