I have 2nd head gasget failure (HGF). Need to get the timing set before removing head, has not been driven for 2 years but engine was turning on the key until recently. Im using 22mm -1/2 inch drive socket on crank nut but wont turn. there seems to be a lot of coolant mixed with the oil. can this do any harm because of the time not driven

First thing id do is take out the plugs and remove the starter motor and try again.

it won't turn over because it has stuck, maybe rusted. try a longer socket bar.

Remove plugs, syringe all coolant/oil out of cylinders using a long pipe, then spray some GT85 down the plug holes. It will penetrate any rust and hopefully free up the pistons. Failing that, try some Redex down the plug holes.

Done this on a friends rover, had to leave it for about a day for the stuff to soak in but it turned eventually.
