Im sure this topic has been well covered in the past but if some kind soul would point me in the right direction?
Have bought a 200tdi from a disco to put in my n/a 90. My existing g box is ok and ive just fitted a rangey trans box with 1.22 ratio.
My questions are:
Should i retain existing box or would the disco box be better?
What are the main obstacles i will face on the transplant? I understand that passenger footwell may need altering, radiator mounts will need altering? and basically the rest is plumbing mods?
Any links or help you can give will be much appreciated

thanks
steve

Miniman did it and posted some pics on here, try a search in this bit. He's off galavanting round England at the mo but I'm sure will tell you about it when he's back. Others have done it but I can't think who now.

forgot to add. you can buy all the engine mount mods etc from somewhere as a package... think they were quoted on here as being around 250-300squids. that way, you wouldnt have to worry about plubing and modding too much.

steve parker is the place to get the conversion kit, a disco exhaust is in a different place to a defender and some other bits but i cant remember what ;)

The steve parker kit is well worth the money, have to agree with the above the mounts are the worst but you can use the ones from your NA, think the engine mount to gearbox is less one bolt, (could be other way round) and some pipes for intercooler and rad need to be made longer.

Oh and be careful onece its all in as the power increase is huge!
