hi guys
bought a 98 r reg 4.o se on gas a few months ago.
i bought it in the knowledge it had overheating problems despite it just having two brand new heads fitted so probably gona be the liner.
as i have a good 4.6 engine sat on a trolley i wasnt too worried. now heres the thing , do i fit the 4.6 or do i sell it and have top hat liners done with the money raised. any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

You'll need to at least change the gearbox if you want to put the 4.6 in. Also the rear diff is stronger on the 4.6 (4 pin rather than the 2 pin you have).

Not sure what else you would need to change, but I'm sure someone else will come along shortly.

Good 4.6 engines s seem to sell for a lot of money so you might be better flogging it and getting the 4.0 rebuilt.
