Just Bought My Disco 300tdi And Having Worked Through All The Repairs, Including The Spider I Can't Find The Wire That Should Feed The Engine Stop. Somebody Has Run A Wire To The Ignition Switch. There Is A Multi Plug Tied Back At The Pump But There Is Three Or Four Wires On It And The Stop Requires Only One.

Looked At The Wshop Manual But There's No Clear Pictures Of The Pump Wiring.

This Has Got Me Fooked Because Theres No Cut Wires. What A Bastroyed.

Anybody Got An Idea.

Sounds like someone has bypassed the spider for the fuel cut off, there should be one wire to the pump, and that should be a 12v feed when the ignition is live from the spider, if it has been bypassed then I would imagine its because the spider is broken and thats what the wire to the ignition is for now.

The multiplug you speak of sounds like it could be your EGR wires, in which case its no bother - has your EGR valve been plated? If it is the EGR wires then leave them be - you don't want the EGR valve it serves no useful purpose.

Yep the spider was foked and I fixed it, with help from one of these threads as it happens, problem is I can't find where the original wire is without looking at another disco. I doubt that he ripped it out completely but I can't find trace of it at the minute.

The egr is plated, another job I did, but although there is a multi plug on the top of the pump; still connected, there is in actual fact another one next to it cable tied back, and I thought that this may have connected to another which led to the pump cut off.

There are two looms near there both covered in heavy ducting but no trace of any previous removal of the cut off wire. It would be nice if somebody had a look at theirs, I think it should be a blue wire, I can see part of it in the manual but where it originates from I dont know.

It sounds your inj pump is fitted with a DDS and all your wiring is in place. You can take the DDS out and use one of the wires to connect the fuel cut off solenoid directly (I think it's the white middle wire - just check if you have +12V after ignition on).

Thank's for your help, what does the DDS do.

The DDS is part of the anti theft system. It prevents (delays in fact) accessing the shutoff valve/solenoid and it has some electronics in it.
