Hello all,
Have done a search and will check further, but just wondering if anybody had this problem? I know it is most likely an earth somewhere
However, have just noticed this problem now its dark early, I sometimes have run on when I turn off the igition, but only when my lights are on!.
No other electical faults at all
I am thinking that the stop solenoid must be on a circuit that cuts into the light circuit somewhere?
Anybody had this weird problem?

Wires may be chafed ,but I suspect an ignition switch problem.

Ex had that problem. Rubbed wires behind steering column.

Typical...stopped doing it now, so cannot trace...
However, it may be connected to another electrical problem that raised its head yesterday, and I am sharing this in case any other dimwit does the same as me!!!!
When I touched my brakes the dash lights came on!! I realised after head scratching for a minute I had replaced the Stop light bulb with a standard indicator bulb and not a dual filement bulb as required...DOH...changed again and all well for now...am hoping this was causing the overrun as well......

Pop the wrong bulb back in and you'll have your answer.
