It will blow a head gasket before it wears out anyway
I would stick to what your using.I just like to use full synthetic in the TD4
mainly because of the variable vane turbo.
Not all KV6s blow head gaskets. Most fail due to the driver failing to lift the bonnet once a week to carry out a few simple checks
I use 5W40 full synthetic in my V6.
