Cant agree more on this one...i think the secret is..a GOOD oil and regular oil changes
I had BMW 325 which when i sold it to a friend had 190,000 miles he ran it for 3 years and sold it with a mileage in excess of 300,000 and as far as i know its still going strong.
Also in the period i owned it it never used excessive oil..BUT i changed the oil and filter twice a year and used comma semi synthetic. *Its the blood of your car mate.....*

ah still say it bollocks. i rarely change me oil. every two years if its lucky. and i don't have and never have had any problems. the secret is in how you drive it from cold, i reckon.

oh and i use a cheap oil . not the cheapest but way down the price list.
