Hello all,
Looking for a bit of advice regarding the above.
Engine and gearbox rubbers pretty much shot to bits and are in very poor condition (SIII SWB, 1973 petrol).
I have spent a bit of time today spraying penetrating oil and loosening fixings to make life easier in preparation for changing later in the week, but, it seems the PO has used the square diesel rubbers instead of the petrol type.
It's not got its original engine, and at some time in its past, it's had an 11H 5 bearing engine from a 90 fitted.
Looking in the parts manual the metal brackets for diesel/petrol seem the same but the brackets then have different numbers in the 90 manual, which I assume has something to do with different chassis type?
The 90 manual states completely different part numbers for rubbers as well.
Anyway, looking for any advice on which rubbers to order, as not sure of the differences between the diesel/petrol type other than shape but surely they should both fit as metal brackets are the same or do I go for the 90 rubbers?
I assume the brackets I have must be SIII and not 90 type, but can't be 100% sure.
Thanks in advance.
