The engine mounting rubbers on my 1972 SIII SWB with 2 1/4 Diesel engine could do with replacing. I notice there are quite a few different ones available. What are the part numbers I would need for this vehicle?

Am I right that there are 6 in total? (4 for engine and 2 for the gearbox). I don't feel like going out to check now.

Thanks for any info.

How easy are these things to change?

I have been told that I will need an engine crane. The bolts look difficult to get to as well.

Don't need crane for gearbox. Just support underneath. Might be worth removed exhaust and handbrake for access.
Don't know about engine mounts.

Don't need a crane for the engine either.......right one can be changed by slackening gearbox mounts and jacking engine.....left one needs unbolting from the block to slip the rubber out

I have noticed a braket on the front of the engine block which is held in place by two bolts. We have an overhead crane at work. Is this bracket intended as a lifitng point for the engine? If it is, I will support tne engine on this from the crane to do the front two mounts.

For the rear two, where is a good place to jack the gearbox?
