Hi, i have my eye on a 2002 discovery v8 with lpg i have contacted the seller for any known issues with the car and he informed me that the engine management light is constantly on, i don't have access to a diagnostics reader wold it be worth getting it looked at by a garage before dealing with money or just turn around and walk away??

Also he has just had the gear box serviced due to it 'sticking' is this a known fault on autos??

Many thanks on reply Scott

Yeah the sticking-if its sticking in first gear , can be a problem with the govenor. the part is about £110 the labour is about £200 but you could pay all that and it still gets blocked up and needs the box rebuild which is £800 to £1500 depending on where you go and how nice your autobox specialist is. I know it happened to me!

Walk away!!!!!
