FIXED!!!!!
After all the other bits changed or fixed it would seem that if I changed the Turbo Boost Control Valve to start with (£35) it would have fixed it anyway. Hey at least the rest has been done (£547) and I can have worry free Freelander motoring from now on!!
Watch this space.;)

Code only ever said overboost.
Just a bit of advise from an weird experience. Check that when you get tyres fitted they are the correct size!! Had the 2 front changed. All seemed fine until I got to 30mph. It felt like the entire body was going to vibrate to a small wreck of metal. The Garage fitted 235/60/18 in stead of 235/50/18. Now that is a very good way to screw up a 4 wheel drive car!!!! Good news though as a sign of good faith they changed all 4.

To the larger size?
And I hope a promise of repair to the 4WD system when it fails early.

Was an honest mistake from a tyre shop that obviously knows nothing about Freelander changing 2 FRONT tyres.

Hi All, thought I would finalise this thread. Eventually got the Turbo Boost Solenoid changed and it fixed the entire thing. So the after basically changing the lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, spleen and bowels the little devil runs. Just changed the crankcase breather to the BMW vortex and wow what a difference to engine noise, acceleration and somehow auto gear changes.
Transplants complete and a, for now, healthy truck goes on. Thanks all for the advise.
