Looking for recommendations for someone to fit a new engine loom as mine was a little cooked due to a faulty sensor, Im in the Basingstoke reading area, I can come to you or mobile....help please.

Or repair it. Engine coolant sensor fried and melted its wiring.

L322 4.4 v8, I'm hoping for just a repair instead of a full loom swap.

When mine went I just replaced the 20cm or so of the two melted wires and the connector, plus a new thermostat assembly.

Edit : assuming that you meant the thermostat heater rather than the coolant sensor

Your other option is to fit the 80 degree c mod and you won’t need the wires as long as they aren’t shorting out just tuck them away.

80 Deg thermostat mod, the new housing doesn’t have the connector if we are talking the same connector , as in the one that heats the thermostat
