Hi All,
I have a 53 plate Freelander TD4 with 120000 miles on the clock.
Can anyone help. I have just changed my fuel pressure sensor and wiring harness as in "The Mad Hat Man's" technical note due to the MIL light coming on whilst driving and the engine power reducing and poor starting.
Now having changed the sensor the MIL light stays on and the engine wont rev. The engine sits at 950 rpm (tick over) and refuses to rev.
The MIL light comes on at first turn of the key then goes out and comes back on, all before the engine starts. The MIL stays on all the time.
I have tried letting the engine tick over to maybe remove the air in the system but this makes no difference.
Do you / can you bleed the fuel rail? Do you have to bleed the fuel rail.
I have been looking through the forum and not seen any similar threads.
Regards
Matt (with Freelander stuck on drive with bonnet up )
