Long post, told you now so you cant complain :p
sooo heres my master plan...
My Previous D2 which crashed and fooked the body has a damn nice chassis under it, mostly still with original paint, even at the rear.. crazy right. Well anyways, I'm slowly getting the body and parts off, sorted on the bolts, haven't got round to looking at electrics needing disconnecting yet, along with with fuel and brakes. Soo plan is then, sandyblast the chassis and get it galved, paint everything nice and drop my new sexy silver body with black leather on top. Buut my predicament is, I have the original engine, which I've done some nice work on, with 170k on and runs nice... well except for it would take like 1 sec in the cold start for the idle to go up but I think hawkeye said something about a .. temp or air sensor or something...
Problem is, I had a mapped ECU for it which I sold as it was mapped for the auto box and my new one is a manual so I figured I'd get a new map done. Well point is, I forgot to write down the injector codes... so how do I put another ECU on it if I don't have the codes for the injectors... they aren't written on the injectors by any chance are they..?

Orr I have the engine in my new one... which has 200k on it, runs nice, but noticed intermittently would white smoke on start up, till driven a bit. No loss of coolant or oil. But the ECU plug has a fair bit of oil and it does get loss of power sometimes from that, not sure if it can cause smoke.
So theres always that option.. and this is a 2003 engine, the old un is a 2002.

Jamie,

As Shimsteriom said, the codes are stamped on the top of each injector, just remove the plug on the top and you will see the code.
