You need to input EKA code when it is accepted you can sync the fob. This will always happen if you lock with fob and open with key.

@wammers am I right in thinking that if it didn't operate the cdl with the key then the cdl microswitch might not be working thus making it impossible to enter eka with the key?

The CDL switch locks and unlocks the other doors. So yes that is possible. Using the key should lock and unlock all doors and activate rear door button on unlock.

I have rang guy salmon Land Rover dealer in Stockport just waiting on a phone call back now.
Do you know the proper procedure for putting the code in? If not it's in the handbook or there's a lot on here about it.You MUST do it in the right way or it won't work

No mate, I’ve not got a clue.. but I think my mate knows how 2do it.

Are you ready? Ensure each key movement is carried out with care and precision and turned to the full extent of its travel
After turning the key to either lock or unlock position make sure it is FULLY returned to the centre( vertical) position
An interval of 10 seconds or more between key turns ,or the key being held in a locked or unlocked position for 5 seconds or more will cancel an entry attempt in which case you must start again with operation 1
Ensure all doors are closed, then using the key turn the drivers lock to the unlock position (towards the front of the car and hold in this position for at least 5 seconds until the the alarm sounded sounds once. Then return the key to the centre position,.It is now possible to use the key to enter the four seperate numerical values of the four numbers that make up the emergency key access code
Enter the first number of the code,if the number is four turn the key to the unlock position 4 times, ensure the key is fully returned to the centre position after each turn.enter the numbers as appropriate till all 4 are in.Finaly turn the key to the unlock position once more ,if the code has been entered correctly a double beep will sound, asingle bleep means the code has been entered incorrectly.
There is now a five minute delay before the alarm and immobilizer are deactivated,DO Not open the door or attempt to enter the vehicle!
Observe the anti theft alarm indicator on the dash,if the code entry was successful this light will continue to flash once every2 seconds for the 5 minute delay.Do not open the door until this period is elapsed, this will be indicated by the alarm indicator light extinguishing. Now open the door insert the key in the ignition and turn the switch immediately to position 2 if it is not turned in 30 seconds it will immobilize again!
If an incorrect code has been entered the alarm sounded will sound once sand the light will continue to flash
In this case return to operation 1 and enter the code again
After 3 failed attempts the security system invokes a delay of 10 minutes during which the system will not accept any further attempts to enter a code.
That's straight out of the manual almost word for word so it should work

Are all key movements to the unlock, the rovers would require unlock for one number, and lock movement for the next number, and the alternate ? Sorry , just asking ?

Thanks a lot mate, I’ll try it soon as I finish work. I shall let you know how I get on. Thanks mate.
Ok I hope it works, you have to do it word for word apparently or it won't work all key movements are towards the front ( unlock) to put the numbers in and then back to the centre,do not turn the key back past the centre position whilst putting in the numbers or it will cancel the operation.Good luck

What I've put is word for word out of the manual,if you turn the key towards the back it will cancel everything
