I tried to avoid getting it on any electrics (and obviously there isn't may electrical connections). I made sure that I jet washed it all off thoroughly and went out today when it was all dry and gave any electrics a coat of wd40

wd40?? how does it help?

For cutting through thick muck, diesel works pretty well (put what you drain out when changing the fuel filter into a spray bottle). It does leave a bit of an oily residue behind but that can be cleaned off very easily with something else.

There's something about £1 shop oven cleaner that'd make me a bit hesitant spraying it all over my engine!

Try this [emoji41] only cost 1k lol

Now that's a good idea. I need a new engine because mine's all dirty.

Reminds me of something a friend's daughter said a while ago
'Mummy, we need to move house'
'Why's that?'
'Because our house is a mess and all my toys are broken'

I suppose it makes sense when you're only 3.
