Hi, I have a 2001 2.5 DHSE auto p38 resently the engine management light illuminated and the engine cut out when driving. The first few times this happened it only lasted a few seconds but the length of time it cuts out seems to be getting longer. Has anyone got any idea what can be causing this?

Could be Crank Sensor or No.4 Injector........get it on diagnostics should help you out!

Fuel quantity servo fault more than likely pump refurb needed. If MIL lamp flicks on when you come out of cruise control almost certainly that.

What miles is it on? Is it when you lift off the throttle?

I'd check the lift-pump too. Easy to check and relatively cheap if it is it.

Check stop solenoid wiring - sometimes the loop just fall off.
