Still have issues with engine dieing. Can drive around locally for a week nothing no faults. I think I've come to the conclusion it only happens after driving constant for over an hour. First times it happened left car to rest for several minutes ran then cut out half hour later. The last time it happened I put a post on here battery flattened trying to restart it towed a mile to a garage who plugged in diagnostic showed a few fault codes they erased fault codes and it fired straight up. Been driving ever since locally have tried tracing fault but nothing. I read something about fuel temp. ?

Also noticed I have a clicking noise from under passenger seat like a relay operating. The only thing under there is the BCU I think could that cause engine cut out when running

Faults like this can be a real pig to sort out can be any number of things
,what age and engine is your l322?

I'd start checking all the earth points and ensure all relevant connectors are secure.

What where the faults codes do you know?

I have a clicking under/near passenger seat especially in cold weather. So not sure that is your answer??i had what you have had happen in a mercedes SL. Exactly the same symptoms. Turned out it was a slightly worn ignition cylinder in the dash where you put the key that got warm over the time the car was out. Had to wait off it to cool or delete fault codes. I would never have known without having the dealer diagnose the problem. This info may be of use to you if not I am not sued what it could be apart from something as you say getting warm.

The Ignition Switch is a known weak point of the L322....and is a good call to be checking it!

I stand corrected the clicking actually sounds like it is coming from front passenger door. Have mirror pot fault so that may be linked to that.
