I have a DT5 Disco 2002 2.5, My 4x4 used to start straight away but now takes quite a few goes for it to start and today it cut out twice and struggled to restart.
The first time it cut out I eventually got it started and drove home ok until just before my turning it started running uneven again and as soon as I took my foot off the throttle if cut out again.
never had this before, anyone have any ideas?

Before someone jumps on you, it's polite to introduce yourself in the appropriate section.
I don't know the disco that well, but could be the in tank pump has failed or a blocked fuel filter.

As Datatek says, go and intro yourself, put in a rough location too

When was the vehicle last serviced, i.e. filters etc?

Sounds like an injector loom issue.

I'm no expert on D2s, but when my parents had a VW sharan, it kept doing this and it was a faulty sensor somewhere in the engine...

I had a Skoda Octavia VRS two years ago and it would occasionally cut out and I thought nothing of it...then eventually it would not start, had it recovered and the fuel injector was buggered.

Air one way valve in the fuel block by the filter and probably injector seals and harness

Yes Sorry fella I have updated Profile introduction before anyone jumps on me.
Thanks for your reply. The Fuel filter was changed a month ago due to it leaking, so should be ok.
The Fuel pump makes quite a noise though.

I would like to thank everyone for there replies, but from what I read then, it could be a number of things to look at.
