Hi,
Got a 2007 Freelander 2 2.2 diesel. engine starts and runs for about 5 seconds and then cuts out? Codes log in the PCM P0201,P0202,P0203,P0204? All injectors go open circuit? Parts replaced injectors, engine bay harness and the PCM? Fault codes still log? No other codes logged in vehicle?
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Have you checked fuse 8 in the engine bay fuse box? That feeds the injectors.

Simply replacing parts willy nilly without proper diagnosis isn't the way to solve an issue, and can often create more issues.

I had an issue with an AUDI A8 which would cut out without warning at ANY point after starting OK.
In that case it was the Crankshaft Position Sensor that was intermttently giving up the ghost, once in the middle of a major railway crossing at rush hour.
I got a BOSCH replacement from eBay - with a 5 year part guarantee - and my trusted Motor Mechanic installed it for £20.
I hope your issue is as straightforward to resolve!
Mike.

The crank sensor on these engines is known to fail, intermittently at first, so that's the place to look after the injector fuse has been checked.

Fuse 8 has been check and is in good condition. Voltage remains steady when the vehicle runs for about 5 seconds the misfires and cuts out and logs the codes? Have used SDD and the code suffix it logs relates to short to ground? So bizzare?

Have you tried replacing the crank sensor? It's known to fail and seldom gives a code. For the £20 it costs, it's cheap enough to simply change it on the off chance.
