well my old rangie passed on everthing except emissions. 3 times what it should be. which was strange. as since we had swap to lpg only 4 year ago not a problem. with emissions so i rebuilt the carbs and the gas unit.
took it back told him it might want fine tuning on the air flow side. he said
was worth doing as it had failed emissions again. and thats when he told me he could,nt balance the carbs he did,nt have the gear. so i said not a problem i dig mine out of the loft and bring the rangie back friday at 4pm
except on the way home no power, spent three hours having to reset everything. well local gas stations pump was down so had to go 30 miles away to refill the lpg tanks at the next station, they had just finished an mot so i asked if they could fine tune the rangie as i was having emission problems for the mot they stuck there machine on her did the engine purge. tick over passsed everything no need to fine tune. he said. so at 4pm took the rangie back to for retest, whilst waiting for him to put the probe up the exhaust noticed his computer counting down engine purge
so i asked do you want me to purge the engine. no he said failed he said
so he spent an hour mucking up my carbs again. so i had spend three hours resetting them again. so i,ve booked the rangie in at the garage 30 miles away as i,m puzzled how vosa could,nt fault the the emssions two weeks ago and the tuning garage said no problems yet my local garage keeps failing it.
