guys looking at a 1960 s2 tomorrow morning, can i ask your advice on what specific model it is? Had a s3 years ago but defenders since then so kind of out of the series loop. I have a 200tdi which ill drop turbo and put in. Can i post auction site link??

Regards tom

Looks like the Series II that its May 1960 reg date suggests. Don't think about changing from petrol! The petrol is much nicer to drive, and you can't have missed what governments are going to be doing to diesels?

Just got back from viewing, its all there but chassis is gone and bulkhead too, i want to rescue it but it needs some hours and £££. What do you think at the current bid? High end price for a project?

Too much but unfortunately its what they seem to make now. It will cost conservatively at least 2 grand and upwards to fix it up, if you want to keep it forever go for it but you'll never get your money back.

For some reason your link at .com isn't working on this laptop, but did on my kindle. Here's my try at it.

I'm guessing the reserve is at least 2k since £1,600 isn't enough. Looks honest but with a chassis and bulkhead you're in for another say £2.5k before you start. I've got a feeling that Landy prices have been a bit too high for the last couple of years and to hope to make a genuine (pricing your labour at at least £20/hour) profit on that would be a mistake. But not an expensive way to get yourself a classic (as long as you leave it running on petrol...).

It ended at 1600 reserve not met!!!! I sold a 72 s3 about 6 years ago for 500 quid gutted after viewing that today. Ill keep looking for my series fix. Was after a tax exempt project if anyone knows of any.

On the plus side thank you guys for your last minute advice, I appreciate it
