Im going to be wiring up some carling switches before long, for LED light bar, lockers, spot lights fan etc etc, would the below cable from this website be fine, or should i move up to thicker cabling. was planning to get black/red and using same cabling accross the board so will be over rated for some jobs but suffice for others

Standard Cable

item 010104 or 010105..

i would assume nearly all accessories will be relay switched so for the low current switched side of things it will be fine

just out of interest i think my led light bar is 240w which is biggest single item i would have on 1 circuit, spots are 55w each and only 2..

so would amps be = 230/12.9(ish) = 17.82 amps, so if i get cable thats 65/0.30 which is rated at 35 amps ( i think) would that cover me, or have i worked it out wrong

go for thin wall and use the correct colour codes for the equipment you are wiring,
+1
So that when you're fault finding in the future you're not faced with a mass of red and black wires. Wiring colours as per the diagram - e.g. main beam Blue/White, dip blue red.

fair enugh, TBH i will end up labeling most cables, but im trying to leave as much of existing loom alone as possible, just getting worrid i might have cut a wire i shouldnt have under engine fuse box :S
