Afternoon all

All the best for Christmas

Quick Q. I am toying with the idea of putting in the above system to the D3 but should hazard a guess they would be the same similar system to all vehicles?

Can anyone please give me some inspiration on what I exactly need to carry out such a a task? All i want to do at present is put in the basic system from Battery to Battery

Cheers all

The cheapies dont seem to last, the relays seem to be the main issue.
Have a look on the D3forum and try a search, might have to sign up but worth it as site full of info, few pompous dicks as well but they soon get over it!

Been on there a while ha ha I don't fall under that category though ha

Currently looking at Victron DC DC chargers, may be best suited to the D3 TBH

It's not an out of the box, or completely ideal solution; but I've made my own with a timer circuit, ignition signal, and 12V relay (I over engineered with 60A ones). So it just dumps the full alternator voltage onto the secondary battery, which will reduce its life a bit; but works well enough for me.

Can you pm me some pics or a diagram of what you have done please?

I got some nice thick cable for the red connections, and have a 50A circuit breaker at both ends. Also got an additional isolator in the middle. The timer counts down 60s from the ignition moving to position II, because I'm never going to leave it there for that long if I'm not starting the car. And the relay is one of these.
