Hello all,
Recently I was doing some exploration around the vehicle ( not getting much done but enjoying her just the same).
I got the idea to check out the bulkhead condition from inside, behind the dash. I found water or some liquid in the plastic trough in the dash so I figured a look was called for. Well I found out I was blessed because it was all as pristine as new.
The point to my question, my series is a lhd and when I removed the lower corner panel on the drivers side I found an electrical part about the size of a bean can. Specifically labeled "Lucas Electrical" that all. I didn't want to disturb something that was working. Didn't think about taking a pic but I'm glad to do so.
Thanks in advance

A picture would be useful. Are there any wires attached to it? The only thing I can think of from your description would be an ignition coil but I have no idea why it would be mounted there.

Thinking about it, it could also be a relay if they had a 2nd battery or a winch fitted previously

I don't believe it's the coil, but maybe part of the electric fuel pump. But why be installed behind the inside of the dash. Looks OEM.

Is there a thick metal cable coming from the "bean" can? Could be the wiper motor as that is what is in that position on rhd models.

If it looks like this well done Layfin

Here's the photo, look very similar to the one posted earlier so I'm assuming it the wiper motor.
Again, thanks for the help
