Evening
Having an electrical nightmare at the moment with my 200tdi first the blower control switch burns out so ordered a new one of them then the day after I go over a speed bump and my radio, clock and interior lights stop working managed to get the clock and radio working but the interior light don't work and clock / radio memory aren't working either anyone come across this before ?

the most common problem on 200tdis is that part of harness behind the battery which has fusible links embeded in it, if you follw the positive lead you'll find a bulged section and there they are... worth a check

Sounds like either a blown fuse or an earth connection come loose.

Personally I'd go for a blown fuse first.

On most radios there are at least two power feeds to them; the main power, switched by the ignition which by the sound of it you have working and the permanent supply which keeps the memory up when the vehicle ignition is off.

The permanent supply would also feed the clock, you want it to tell the time all the time, not have to reset it every time you start the vehicle. The same would apply to the internal lights. What's the point of them only working when you have the vehicle running?

Recheck the fuses.

I checked them when It first happened but couldn't find any blown ones I'll double check tomorrow
Would the memory live run throgh a relay at all ?

Both of your faulty circuits do share the same fusible link, assuming your disco is post 93 and u have them.
The best modification u can do to save future issues is install a 300 series engine bay fuse box and its fusible links but still keeping your existing 5amp fuse in your dash fuse box.

It's definitely a fuseable link
Is fitting a 300tdi's fuse box an easy job or does it require abit of electrical wizardry haha ?
