Nice to see that you are replacing with Stainless fittings :).

Every nut, bolt, and washer I have removed has been replaced with SS fasteners. All chassis bolts, and any in what I consider a “high stress” location are A4-80, everything else (like earth connections) are just A2-70. I have used an assembly paste to stop them galling too, advice that everyone should take when using SS.

For those that don't know (or even care:p) I've built a new garage and yesterday just finished off the wiring and cleared the rubbish out so I can get the landy in.
Lights on, radio on, space heater on, working in me tee shirt I was that warm;) absolutely blissful:D

sitting on me little step stool to do the job.
Headlights out and everything was fine on the good nearside so buttoned it back up with the new uprated bulb.
Offside next and the main earth was fine, the problem was mainly in the female bullet connectors so replaced them (luckily had some new spare ones) and packed them with electrical grease.
The connectors that go to the NAS side and indicator lamps were a little corroded too but cleaned them up best I could and will get new ones on Monday.
The earth bullets were completely jammed with rust into the female connectors that I had to cut off the rubber cover and pry the metal part open to release the bullets.
