Hi all
I have been chasing problems round my serise 2a for the last couple of weeks. First when i pressed the starter button i lost all power, i cleaned up all the earths then found that the starter would turn but there was no spark. I chased that problem and found a loose terminal screw on the voltage regulator. Ok fixed that and now when i press the starter button again i lose all power.
I checked the voltage on the battery and with the ignition switched on the voltage swlowly drops down to below 6V, when i turn the ignition off the battery slowly builds back to around 10V (battery was low due to fault finding). Not sure if its connected but with the ignition on i can hear a low buzz.
The old girl will jump start and run fine until turned off then she wont start again.
Anyone got any ideas.
Cheers
Rob
