Bit of an odd one this.
I have a cheapo reversing camera that is powered by the reversing light, i.e when I put the defender in to reverse the reversing light comes on and sends power to the camera that then swtiches on the screen.
Now I want to wire in a switch in the cab so that I can switch the camera on at will rather than having to put it in to reverse. So if I'm towing I can flick it on and check whatever it is I'm towing and then switch it off again. My issue is that if I just wire an extra power supply in to the system surely the reversing light will come on (?) So is there anyway I can put a sort of electrical one way valve in to the system?
