Hi all,
I have been quietly replacing the bulkhead in my 110 for the last 3 months of weekends, all has gone Ok thus far and I am now back wiring the loom back in.
I didn't properly label up one of the block connectors in the engine bay for two single wires that go into a block of 6x2 pins - now I don't know which way around they go (see the photos - black / green wire).
Does anyone know from experience which way around they go?

What are the colour codes on the wires that yoou need to plug in? Might be the easiest way to tell where they need to go on the block. Do tell, please - i couldn't make it out from the pictures.

It is very rare for a wire colour to change at a connector (unless it is part of the immobiliser as they all change to black wires - assuming you have one fitted), if you have a black and green then they should mate with another black and green. I assume you are saying that you don't have the matching colours in the block connector?
 
The vehicle is a 110 200tdi on a K plate.

The wires change colour, which is what is puzzling me quite a bit - the wires that are on the female side of the connector are red/yellow and purple, the wires on the male side are green and white...
 
If you are in a position to test the electrics, you could see what doesn't work - low fuel warning/diff lock warning etc. are single wires on some vehicles.
 
Purple is nearly always a live feed, red and yellow are usually used for the fog lights.
 
Have a really good look at the wires - clean them off, they may have a stripe of another colour which will help identify them, e.g. white with a slate stripe - the slate stripe is very hard to see. This is the low fuel warning colour.
