Hi chaps i have a 300tdi both the rear electric windows have stopped working at the same time. i have checked the fuses under the dash but all seem to be fine dose anyone have any ideas

Have you tried using the switches on the doors? Its common for the ones in the center consul to fail.

I came across that problem once and found that a plug had come off from the switch panel on the centre console - this plug apparently disabled the two rear windows.

i have tried the switches in the doors still dont work. i will take the console apart and have a look at the connectors thanks alot hope it is somthing simple i hate electrics

Hi Mate,
This has been coverd before by me as I had the same problem, it ended up being the window lift ECU that is located behind the glove box, I managed to get a new one off ebay but if you do a search on this forum for window ECU you will find someone has posted how to repair the ECU rather than getting a new one.

Hi,
This happened to me the rear windows stopped working then they would work next day they packed up again all sorted now found a dry solder joint in the window ECU , have a look on www.disoweb.org shows step by step how to repair it

that is was happened they worked then they didnt then they did now they dont thanks for your help.

Mine was doing this every now and then. Seems to have been ok since replacing the heater matrix!
