hi, i've got a 55 plate td4 freelander with an electric window problem. the drivers window works all the time but none of the others do. i checked the 5 amp fuse and fouond this was blown. i replaced it and they all worked but as soon as i switched on the ignition, it blew again. i've tried replacing it with a 10 amp but the same thing happens. with the ignition switched on two clicks all the windows work fine, its just blows the fuse when the engine turns over? any help would be appreciated

thanks

Hi,
The latest diagram I have is for 02 model year. Window fuses:f26 f27 and f31 are all shown as 20A. Might be an idea to check with LR to ensure correct fuse is fitted?

thanks dan, i've just checked and mine show 20 amp. the fuse which keeps blowing is F29, which seems to control just the electric windows.

I’m hoping that I can resurect this thread. I attach the wiring diagram from Haynes.
My 3 windows work for a little while and then blow f29 which is the 5A that seems to look after relay R9 and f
Is it likely that that one of the relays is failing. F9 is the time out relay, or should I start ripping door cards open.

I really would appreciate any help on this I don’t know anything about wiring diagrams I’ve been a member on this forum for quite a long time but never had to ask a question because I’ve always found the answer but this one is beating me please see diagram attached
