I have found lots of useful information on here and hopefully my turn to help others.

I have had an intermittent problem with the drivers window only operating when it felt like it. Sometimes the motor would click as though it was trying to move bug wouldn't. I changed the regulator/motor unit which worked for a week or so making me think it was fixed, but then the problem returned. I swapped the two front switches around, again only worked for a day or two. Checked the wiring through the door frame, all looked ok, but added a second pair of wires, with no improvement.

Finally I managed to locate the window ecu (above the fusebox mounted on the inner wing area - a pig to undo the two nuts and fathom out that the wiring connector slides to undo). Took it apart and re-soldered all the components. Window now works perfectly...... I can finally put the door trim back on:):)

If you are suffering from one individual window playing up, could be the same problem. Replacement ecu's are available quite cheaply on auction sites if you don't have the ability to re-solder the joints

Hope this is useful to someone

Good to see a post like this.............Too many occasions lately where a new member posts a question, gets an answer and that's the last we hear of them until they have their next problem.

:welcome2:
