Hello Folks,

I have a window that doesn't go down in my Discovery 2.
It is the passenger side/NS front window. It's up at the moment (which I suppose is a good thing considering) and you can hear a click when the switch is pressed in the button to the close position. But no click when pressed to open the window.

Is it likely to be the switch, or is it more likely to be inside the door? If the switch, How do I get the cover off please.

Thanks Val.

Before somebody starts, it might be a good idea if you put a little bit on the "Introduce Yourself" board, where you can umm introduce yourself.
The next thing somebody might start is screaming search at you.
FFS SEARCH! There's a search box at the top right of the forum. There's loads on the forum about about faulty electric windows.
There's already a faulty window thread going, check out: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/intermittent-windows.301401/
The first stage of a window going faulty could be going intermittent.

^^^^^ what he said. You said please so that's a good sign. There's some very helpful and knowledgable people on here but a few vultures aswell. It's the only forum I use where people read the introduction thread and welcome you.

The cover just clips off, then you will see screws holding another panel on that holds all the switches. it's easily damaged so use extreme caution.

Thanks for your suggestions guys, appreciated. I'll do some more searching and make an introduction.
