My passenger side front window has an intermittent fault. Sometimes it works fine but other times each time I press it only moves about 2 inches then stops, then press again etc. bit of a pain going through European toll booths. Any ideas other than don't go to Europe?

Could be either a wiring issue or the motor is packing up. You need to remove the door panal to see what you can see.

I have a similar issue with the drivers side rear window, it works ok with the drivers window buttons, but the one in the rear door does nothing, swapped out the switch, still no worky. All the wiring is good, don’t know what else I can do.

I have the same issue with the drivers window on my 2007 xs. Did you work it out? The only thing I haven’t changed is the regulator?

I have no experience of the F2, but if the window works on 1 of the buttons, then I'd have thought the regulator must be working OK.

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then recalibrate the windows when it's reconnected. This will set the current sensing back default, then learn the new parameters during the calibration.

Thanks.

I’ve tried this twice now to no avail. The other 3 windows reset from the drivers 4way control but all I’m getting is a double click when I try and move the drivers window.

Is there anything else I should check? In the middle of moving my Dad so boot is full and can’t get to the fuse box easily :-(

Update. I woke up this morning and the window finally went up. I’m not touching it until I get home on Thursday but does this point to anything in particular? Clearly not the fuse. Faulty motor or wiring is my uneducated opinion…..

What's the exact fault? If it's just not going up, then it could be the motor is drawing too much current. The door control module is what drivers the motor up and down, and also monitors the current consumption, removing the power if it exceeds a pre-set threshold.
