so more batteries means more productivity so more mining for the lithium to put in the battery
next you will be putting steering in caravans so can be steered with out being towed

we would have to use a air vent like they do on vans noting to big as would cause wind resistance and drag so the motor will work harder causing battery drain issues just like the RR :) :)

ah of course, hide the power station 'far away' and its pollution doesnt affect you :rolleyes:
and solar / wind power is clean, no emissions at all (at the time of generation) aside from the impact it has on the environment, but we dont talk about that because its far away or under water where you dont see it.

He might be referring to the feed in tariffs. I looked at solar panels years ago and essentially I was paying up front for something that would take 12 years to break even on with an estimated life-span of 15 years (the ac converters tend to break down) although the panels might give good efficiency for up to 25 years if you got lucky.

I love the idea of renewables and breaking the dependency on oil but last I looked solar panels used as much CO2 from ground to panel as they save in CO2 in estimated life-span. Lithium batteries have similar issues. Wind seems to genuinely work with a net negative CO2 impact. Nuclear? Well, disposal is still the big elephant in the room. There's heaps of low-grade spent fuel around the world and it isn't going anywhere. Thorium reactors seem like they might bridge a gap but it might be too late to start now given the lead in times.

Hydrogen fuel cells seem a no-brainer but no-one wants to invest to get the niggles out of the way because they're too busy selling batteries.

For off-setting these people are doing good work. They just need the investment equivalent to a couple of beers a month: https://www.climeworks.com/subscriptions

thats the real problem right there.
people are only interested in what makes them rich and politicians see the net result, what comes out of the car, absolutely nothing, so they push that because its an easy vote winner
