I have been looking up prices for this part and wondering if there are generic versions available that can be trusted at lower prices?
Anyone have and advice?

A friend of mine bought one of those from aliexpress for the equivalent of aprox 200 quid last year with a 2 year warranty and he didnt complain yet .... these days you can't be sure that the so called OEM's are not made in China anyway. It's understandable when the price of a genuine is huge. I had some pleasant surprise myself with a chinese throttle body for my wife's Mazda at 1/4 the price pf genuine which is still going strong after about 4 years. It's a matter of choice IMO.

analise this https://www.aliexpress.com/i/1005002084175611.html ... but dont take it like a recommendation just as an example

OEM = original equipment manufacturer, but not always the maker of the non original part you are buying, ie they used to make something for OE fitment and think they can now label any of their products OEM.

Personally I would just buy a 2nd hand one with some form of warranty, Gentlemen of Salvage are meant to be good.
