I currently have a kenlow electric fan with a override switch (so it stays on). But apparently these are not as effective as viscous fans, I was just wondering how people got on in hot climates with electric fans?

Nope and not even with the heater on full blast - must admit they were both Classic RR's though - again good luck with Tra--.

My viscous is shizer. Electric fans drawing air through your radiator is gonna be much better than the ****ty 5 blade viscous.

To be fair it depends what enjun.

My TD5 runs hot, so i havent had a fan on it for 2 years now with no problems. Im not sure about 200/300/v8's though.

It's a 300, the fan has come on once in the last year which was when towing up a steep hill..

It has also had a new radiator since then!

Anyway I think I am going to try and get a second electric fan in their, surely two electric fans should move more air than a viscous :confused: I will also have them running the whole time too just to be safe..
 
The plastic shrouding which directs the viscous fan is apparently very important when using viscous fans...
