Never rains, but it pours. As I mentioned, I am taking the car into Monsieur Renault in the village tomorrow, always assuming I get there. I am now down on the dratted bump stops. Spent this afternoon, playing with the settings, although all the numbers all seemed right. I cleared them all anyway and did a re-set. Still no lift. No sound from the pump. That would probably explain it. No visible detachments. Any ideas, anybody ? Fuse ?

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I have had to have my own pump attended to over the last two days. What IS cardiology, I wonder ?

You can't just clear the EAS numbers and hope it will sort itself out. Any faults either on the dash or on diagnostics? The compressor will not run with a fault present and if all the sensor settings are zero, it's not likely to be happy.
The compressor can be turned on from diagnostics, take the blue pipe of in the EAS box, run the compressor and see if you can stop the airflow. If you can, the compressor is NBG.

Good afternoon all.

I’m back. To paraphrase Granny Weatherwax, “ I ain’t dead, just recovering

As I know that all members here are of a sensitive disposition and easily distressed by anything too graphic, I will not upset them with the gory details of my indisposition. Suffice to say that, touch wood, I am up and about.

This is more than can be said of the P37½A which, upon my return, shows about two dozen faults, including some I’ve never seen before. There are also various unrelated faults on the dashboard but most of those have been there for several years and have not troubled me or the car.

As I said before, the compressor is not running at all, although I have checked the turn on/off buttons of the diagnostic. I replaced the pump a couple of years ago, but even on its last legs, it did make some effort. The replacement has run very well ever since, suddenly just not a sound. I wondered about the fuse or fuses, but was not sure how to identify the appropriate one.

M. Renault says it is all beyond him and my next port of call may have to be a fairly knowledgeable independent but this would be a last resort as he is rather far to want to drive on the bump stops.

Glad to hear your back on track, sorry your bus🙁it's a shame your 5hr away from my garage. ..

Fuse depends on the year. On mine it is the same as the starter so you can guess why they changed ot on later years!

What is the battery voltage. Pleased to hear you are recovering.

Can you put on emergency inflation valves and pump it up so you can drive it, you can make up valves using the valves cut out of push bike inertubes and 6mm push fit couplings.

I always carry a set I made using truck valves and a coupler plus a 12 volt tyre infaltor. Never had to use them.
