Can anyone tell me how to enter an EKA code on a '97 110 defender. I was told the procedure is in the owners manual but i must have a different one to everyone else!

The only explanation i can find on the web it for cars with central locking. Do o need to open and close the drivers door?

Cheers

No, it's a secret :p

Get in Landy and shut drivers door.

Turn ignition key to position 2 and hold for 5 seconds, then turn off.

Open and close drivers door.

Turn ignition key on and off the same number of times as the first number in your code.

Open and close drivers door.

Turn ignition key to on and off the same number of times as the second number in your code.

Open and close drivers door.

Repeat for the last 2 numbers of the code then the alarm and immobiliser will be disarmed once the door has been closed for the final time and the landy will start.

Hope that made sense!

Is there a way to find you eka code dealers here in u.s. say they do not have a code must bring vehicle into dealership

It's probably not something dealers will give out over the phone for security reasons. Check your manual and service record books as sometimes it's written in there.

dealers are saying that they have to get the code by connecting it to the computer, some even say there is no code
