Now's the time to get some copper grease on the manifold bolts so when you do remove it it'll be an easy job.

More than happy with doing mine, the improved power when I accelerate up the hill to home is so obvious even SWMBO noticed it.

Has anyone here removed the egr cooler? The egr cooler pipe has cracked on my 2002 disco commercial. Already has the egr removed and thought might be easier to just move the blank plate upto the exhaust manifold and scrap the cooler and pipe.

Remove the 2 coolant pipes off the cooler and join together with some copper pipe, then remove the cooler from the engine.

Was just about to tell you the same, did this to mine a few weeks ago.
Worth checking you can get the bolts of the manifold as ended up drilling mine out

Mrtox. Have already snapped one when messing yesterday so got it drenched in wd40 ready for weekend.

Wd40 might work but you need some proper penetration oil like plus gas or something I think wd40 do their own version of it now.
