So my son's D90 has just passed it's MOT with the acoustic cover in place and the bronze coloured pipe in place over the blanking place on the exhaust manifold. Good news - right up to the point that I removed the pipe and sheared off one of the bolts putting the blanking plate back on.
Who was it said TD5 owners are slightly better off because they can make it look as if it is still fitted? Oh yeah, me.
As above - I do wonder if they will ever be able to test the function, given that AFAIK, there were no official tests done at the time of type approval - unlike the CO2 emissions, which are recorded on the V5 .....
