I bought an EGR delete from Allisport, it has the mushroom blank on the bottom and 2 appendages opposite. The bottom one is solid and top has a hole through into the barrel. I'm not sure what these are for. I have a 2000 td5 discovery without the cooler part in the egr pipe.
I was wondering whether I bought the right pipe, if someone could enlighten me it would be great

I'm thinking the vacuum pipe slips onto the solid bottom one and I will have to block the top one.

You got the wrong one, you need one for a 10p engine.

The kit should come with a really simple, flanged tube to replace the EGR, a plug to plug the single vacuum hose and a small plate to blank off the pipe from the turbo.

Even if you mess around with what you have you will end up with the inlet flow swirling around due to the shape.

The mushroom part is solid so you can connect the pipe from manifold without taking it off

too bad that they overcomplicated a simple thing then... you paid for ports/adds which are completely useless unless you want to fit a boost gauge...the simple bypass kit for 10P looks like this

Thought I was taking the easy route. I heard of people having problems getting the pipe off of manifold end.
There is nothing stopping me from blocking the boost hole is there?

Just a simple blanking plate will do & costs nothing to make (if you have a drill/grinder/hacksaw). Also mot inspectors can't see the EGR has been 'adjusted' as all the original stuff stays in place !
