hello

I have bought a edelbrock 500 along with a jwr manifold. I need some help as at the back of the manifold there is a largish threaded hole ( roughly around 14mm). What is it for or what goes in it ?.

I have ran engine with this uncovered and it barely runs but when i cover the hole it runs allot better. I do still need to get it properly tuned and timed. I presume it runs better because its not drawing air through it.

It is a old 3.5v8 that is in my old sereis 3

any help would be appreciated

thanks:confused:

ive seen them on the normal inlet manifolds too and they are blanked with a large bolt

Got caught exacly the same with my old 110 when fitting a 500!! Made me smile:) My old man spotted it - its from the kick down for an auto box apparently?? How is it running?

look we have solved and also had a good laugh at mr lambda so why are we still talkin about this one :p
