hi all,i have a 300tdi 97auto and want to tune my injector pump? do's this mean a chip if it do's would it just plug in something or need a new ecu or ecu with chip already in it,sorry but never had one or needed one in me v8.

you dont have to chip the ecu .you can open the pump and adjust the turbo boost from the pump its quit easy but you have to be very careful not to adjust the turbo pressure to much better using a boost gauge. have a look at this it will explain it better to you

i dont think its as simple as doing a manual tdi due to the EDC system that the autos use.check and make sure before you adjust anything to save any trouble.i am quite sure that the autos do need a chip or re-map rather than a pump tweak but i could be mistaken and im sure someone will soon give you the correct info.
