Just towed a caravan to eastnor show and back and averaged just a tad under 29 MPG out of me 90 TD5. First stop 300 miles and filled up 47.74 litres but that included 30 miles without caravan on the back. PS. morrisons diesel.

Here's what it should have looked like

1 Gall (UK) = 4.546092ltr
47.74 ltr= 10.50133Gall(UK)
300/10.50133 = 28.567809982164163967802173629436Mpg

ya right, i get about 28.5 mpg from your calculation's,

they must of improved there fuel a bit since i last used it.

Tis a load o bollix, ah rekin theyre all the fookin same, just propaganda from the companies releasing info dissing the other ones. The supermarkets all get their diesel and petrol from the big refineries, which are supplied by Esso. Used to work for Esso and their Kingsbury depot used to fill the Tesco and Asda lorries just the same as they filled the Esso ones.
