can depend on lots of factors, including temperature / heating / cooling load, state of battery, dpf if fitted, electrical load
 
Yeah, Its mainly ambient temp, current load, expected load, battery soc (state of charge), battery soh (state of health). There is about 27 disabling factors.

If it works less as the vehicle ages, but your vehicle usage is the same, then its probably degradation of the battery soh. If for example the vehicle only carried out an eco function when the battery was 80%+ soc and your battery dropped to 79% soh, then eco function wont work.

Can rectify it by telling the car it has a new battery, which obviously isn't the recommended process. The other option is fit a new battery and then tell the car it has a new battery.
