Hi

My replacement ecm came today and when I went to fit it I found the Gate that holds the connector in place is a mirror image, so it will not fit?

can I not just modify the connector on the loom to take the other ECM as I don't have the EGR connected??

or would this just be too simple??

You would need to fit the IAT to the inlet manifold, and there are other wiring differences I think, I would need to do a side by side wiring comparison to be sure.

Maybe if you fit the earlier engine loom. But what a ball ache that would be.

I hear the sound of someone digging:rolleyes:

No one digging at all. Don,t get paranoid. Just easier to get the correct unit than **** about changing a wiring loom and adding the temp sensor. The ECU expects to see certain things if it didn't see them it would get confused.

I agree, but Johnny seems intent on digging himself into more trouble.
Waste of time trying to fit the wrong EDC or change the loom. Whose paranoid?

Sorry Keith thought it was a reference to other things. Answer is possibly me. :D:D:D
